Byron’s affect

I’ve been in a crazy poetry phase that I hope never ends. It all started when I bought a vintage poetry book filled with Robert Browning’s poems. It was published in 1942, which was my main reason for purchasing it anyways. But once I started reading it, it was beautiful. His style of writing makes poetry seem like it’s as natural as the need for air. Like it’s as easy as putting pen to paper. Everything flowed. And I got caught up in the waves. So, reading the introduction, I saw that Byron was his main influence. And I knew at least one of Byron’s poems, She Walks In Beauty, so of course I needed to get his book of selected poems! I was gonna try to wait to find a vintage one. But I’m pretty impatient, and I ordered one off of Amazon. And I’m not going to like, I did a happy dance. It happened. And I’d do it aging right now if it weren’t for my being in a public place. This is my happiness of the day. This book and listening to Ray La Montagne. I’m a pretty easy person to please.
